PUZZLE – ENIGMA – RIDDLE EXHIBITION
A mysterious art unit encountered by photographer Junai Nakagawa. A picture said to be a portrait of this unit features a single face. But strangely enough, it looks like both a man’s and a woman’s profile, bewildering those who view it.
The Pranks’ pictures mesmerized Junai Nakagawa, and he used a variety of photographic techniques to create new fantastical collaborative works that melded their art with his photographs.
Following on from the hugely popular “111 Daydreams” exhibition (2021) comes “Puzzle – Enigma – Riddle,” a new exhibition featuring some 60 works!
Joining The Pranks and Junai Nakagawa is the writer Margaret Boy, who has written short captions or stories for each work. These have been collected together to create a book Puzzle – Enigma – Riddle ~ A Collection of Surreal Fantastical Art.
A new kind of surrealism creating by combining pictures and photos

An art unit that collaborates mainly with respect to drawings. The Pranks have not released a detailed profile, but a bewildering portrait released at the same time as the works included in “Puzzle – Enigma – Riddle” appears to depict two people, a man, and a woman.
Portrait of The Planks
Junai Nakagawa
As a photographer, his unparalleled sense of the artistic soon led to him becoming the darling of the world of fashion magazines. He has been active in a variety of media since then, his curiosity unabated and his finger always on the shutter.
Margaret boy
A writer who works with The Pranks. He worked with The Pranks and Junai Nakagawa on their collaborative work, IN LOVE WITH SATAN, in 2021, putting each of the 111 images from the project in order and writing captions for each of them. These captions were then joined together to create a novel.
